内容摘要：

2 pillars of CONASENSE (Communications, Navigation, Sensing and Services) are discussed in this lecture: Trans-Sectoral Networks and boost in technologies. As will be explained, the involvement of telecommunications in all sectors of Society is a major multi-disciplinary challenge for the scientist, the technical solution provider, the service provider and the network operator.  Illustration of the CONASENSE vision is given in personal views on the foreseeable boost of new technologies, systems and applications in mobile and wireless communications. Trends in wireless communications get attention and most important request specific R&D. Several CONASENSE applications will complete the lecture.

主讲人介绍：

Leo P. Ligthart is a pioneer in antennas & propagation, radar and remote sensing. His current research activities include radio-propagation, multi-function antennas, radar remote sensing of subsurface, earth and atmosphere, multi-parameter radar, radar networking, microwave transmissions. He is an author of over 600 papers, 4 patents and 2 books. He was the founder of the first European Microwave Week (EuMW) in Amsterdam in 1998. This yearly conference week is now the main Microwave event in Europe.
