主讲人介绍: Sarthak Misra教授,就职于荷兰特温特大学生物医学工程系,博士毕业于巴尔的摩约翰霍普金斯大学大学。2009年加入特温特大学(实验室网址:www.surgicalroboticslab.nl),目前是工程技术学院生物医学工程系的全职教授。他隶属于MIRA-生物医学技术与科技医药研究所和格罗宁根大学生物医学工程系医学中心。Sarthak教授在美国巴尔的摩约翰霍普金斯大学机械工程系获博士学位。在约翰霍普金斯大学开始学习之前,他曾在MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates工作三年,担任国际空间站项目的动态和控制分析师。他在加拿大蒙特利尔麦吉尔大学获得机械工程硕士学位,并且是欧洲研究理事会(ERC)启动和概念证明奖学金,荷兰科学研究组织(NWOVENIVIDI奖项,Link基金奖学金,McGill主要奖学金和NASA太空飞行意识奖的获得者,担任IEEE机器人和自动化学会外科机器人技术委员会的联合主席,以及IFAC生物和医疗系统技术委员会的区域联合主席。 Sarthak教授的研究主要集中在宏观和微观尺度的应用力学领域,将机电系统的建模和控制应用于医疗机器人。

Sarthak Misra joined the University of Twente in 2009 (Lab website: www.surgicalroboticslab.nl). He is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Biomechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering Technology. He is affiliated with MIRA – Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine. He is also affiliated with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Groningen and University Medical Center Groningen. Sarthak obtained his doctoral degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. Prior to commencing his studies at Johns Hopkins, he worked for three years as a dynamics and controls analyst at MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates on the International Space Station Program. Sarthak received his Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is the recipient of the European Research Council (ERC) Starting and Proof-of-Concept grants, Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) VENI and VIDI awards, Link Foundation fellowship, McGill Major fellowship, and NASA Space Flight Awareness award. He is the co-chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Technical Committee on Surgical Robotics, and area co-chair of the IFAC Technical Committee on Biological and Medical Systems. Sarthak’s broad research interests are primarily in the area of applied mechanics at both macro and micro scales. He is interested in the modeling and control of electro-mechanical systems with applications to medical robotics.
